Check a receipt yourself.

Somebody handed you work along with a receipt. Paste it below and your own browser will check the signature against the key Datum publishes. Nothing is sent anywhere, and you do not have to take the sender’s word for any of it.

An envelope has the document and the receipt together. A bare receipt is fine too, it just cannot tell you which document it belongs to on its own.

Exact text, including line breaks. One changed character is a different document, which is the entire point.

What a valid receipt does not mean

Not truth
It means the work matched the records its author confirmed. If they confirmed something wrong, this passes and says so cheerfully.
Not coverage
It covers the claims the author declared, not every sentence in the document. Anything left unchecked is listed above rather than hidden.
Not quality
Nothing here judges tone, argument or writing. It compares values.
Not the source
Where the records came from is stated, never proven. A source the issuer fetched itself is worth more than one the author typed up, and the receipt says which.

Verification runs in your browser using its own cryptography, not ours. The public key comes from Datum’s published directory. Prefer to check it off the web entirely? verify.py in the Datum repo does the same job with no network and no dependencies.
